Floater
A board with enough buoyancy (volume) to float you while stationary. The opposite is a 'sinker', while in between is a 'marginal'. This terminology is not commonly used nowadays. (A 'Floater' is also a surfing term to describe when board and rider glide across the white water at the top of a breaking wave, to land back in front of it.) (1)
