NO-DECOMPRESSION LIMITS (NDL)
This the maximum length of time that a diver can stay at a certain depth. If this time is exceeded, then the dive is outside of recreational diving. Also, if the NDL is exceeded, the diver is required to do a decompression stop to eliminate excess nitrogen accumulated in her/his body.
